peyton manning's wedding

When it comes to weddings, the focus is usually on the bride. Everyone thinks of it as her special day, that event she’s been looking forward to since she was a child and the time when she’ll be the center of attention as she embarks on a new life. But what about the groom? It’s his day too, and one that he should plan just as carefully as the bride. Ideally it will be a once-in-a-lifetime occasion for both bride and groom, so they should share the planning and the enjoyment of that magical day equally!

american wedding bachelor party

A bachelor party (United States, South Africa)—also known as a stag party, stag night, or stag do (UK, Ireland, Canada, and New Zealand); bull's party (South Africa); or buck's party or buck's night (Australia)—is a party held for a bachelor shortly before he enters marriage, to make the most of his final opportunity to engage in activities a new partner might not approve of, or merely to spend time with his friends (who are often in his wedding party afterwards).

The history of bachelor party is thought to have originated with a bachelor dinner that was traditional in ancient Sparta (5th century BC) where soldiers would toast each other on the eve of a friend’s wedding.

A bachelor party may involve activities beyond the usual party and social gathering ingredients (often drinking alcohol and gambling), such as going to a strip club or hiring a stripper, and in some traditions more hazing-like tests and pranks at the future groom's expense, which shows the whole thing is also a rite of passage from bachelorhood (associated with an adolescent lifestyle, often in the common past of most participants, e.g. in their student years) to "more responsible" marital life.

The task of organizing a bachelor party is often traditionally assigned to a male sibling of the bachelor or to the best man. Otherwise, any (close and/or reputedly party-minded) male friend will organize it. The planned activities of a bachelor party are traditionally kept secret from the groom.

In the United States, Las Vegas, South Beach Miami, Chicago, and New Orleans are popular bachelor party destinations; they are also popular wedding locations. Increasingly, "destination bachelor parties" are replacing standard nights out, with Americans traveling to Montreal or Mexico.

Bachelor parties in the US often entail the mass consumption of alcohol, the hiring of a stripper and general rowdiness toward which the bride might not have a positive reaction (especially since women are not supposed to be among the invitees.) Increasingly, bachelor parties have come to symbolize the last time when the groom is truly "free" and without the influence of his new wife.

For Your Special Moment

Before you hire a wedding photographer, here tips to get a good one:

* Personal referrals. Start by building a list of several wedding photographers. Asking friends and relatives for recommendations is a great way to begin.

* Visit website.Visit each photographer's website. Carefully review his or her portfolio. Try to concentrate on photos and not on website design.

* Phone interview. Call or email each photographer on your list. A quick phone call or short email will give you a number of key pieces of information, such as the photographer’s availability on your wedding day, type of photography specialties

* Make appointments. Make appointments with the photographers who sound promising so you can view their portfolios and discuss details.

* Getting Specific: The more questions you ask up front, the more confident and relaxed you’ll feel on and after your wedding day. If in doubt, ask! And remember, there is no such thing as a dumb question!

* Prepare to make a commitment

For Your Special Moment

There are many things to look for in a wedding videographer but the critical factor is experience. Wedding videos are a specialist product and you need someone who understands the genre inside and out.

* Ask For Demos You must ask to see a demonstration tape of the videographer's previous work. There is no reason for them not to supply a demo — if they say they can't for privacy or other reasons, cross them off your list.
* Communication Skills The videographer should be able to get on with people and communicate well. Effective communication is important to make the day run smoothly, as well as making sure that everyone knows what to do and what to expect in relation to the video.

* Style Different videographers have different styles and you should choose one which you are comfortable with. Common styles include: Fly-on-the-wall, reality-TV style, Documentary, including interviews, voice-overs, etc

* Price Making good wedding videos is an expensive business and professionals need to charge a lot of money to turn a fair profit. You should regard cheap quotes with suspicion.

* Cameras & Equipment You might like to ask what type of video camera and other equipment will be used. If you are familiar with video equipment this information might be useful but it's probably not necessary. An average camera in the hands of an expert is better than the most expensive camera operated by an average videographer.

* Video Editing Editing is very important. Good quality editing will make a huge difference

Wedding Speeches

Wedding Speeches
Wedding Speeches

For Your Special Moment

Hundreds of people, bright lights, microphones and uncomfortable clothing, not the ideal setting to stand up and start talking, particularly at the moment where you are probably nervous, sweating, dry mouthed and your stomach feels like its doing somersaults!

You will be pleased to know there are ways to combat your fears and settle your nerves.

* The first thing to remember is who your audience is. They will be your friends and family not a jeering bunch of hecklers. They do not want to see you fall short but if you do they will be sympathetic.

* Secondly remember to breathe, take deep and slow breathes. Do not rush your words.

* Try stretching out your fingers and toes. Sounds silly but it really does work!.

* Some people say eating a banana before the speech can help with anxiety and at the same time give you energy.

* Do not drink! One alcoholic drink is fine to calm your nerves but then stick to water. There is nothing more cringe worthy than a wedding speech delivered by a slurring drunkard.

* Be yourself, nobody is perfect and your audience will not expect you to be.

* If you become emotional do not worry just take a moment to compose yourself and remember if you are getting choked you probably won't be the only one.

* Imagine you are talking to someone at the end of the room and project your voice accordingly. Remember to make eye contact with your audience as they will soon tire and become distracted if you deliver your speech head down reading from a script.

For Your Special Moment

Wedding poems are a lovely way to personalize a wedding ceremony. Wedding poems can take the place of a reading, or they can complement a reading. Some couples will just take portions of a wedding poem that applies to them and add it to their ceremony.

Using Wedding Poems

Couples put their wedding plans together in any number of different ways. Some couples are really into having a traditional wedding. These couples typically leave the readings up to the pastor or priest. Other couples are very new age. Rather than hire a priest, they put together the wedding themselves, choosing every reading, saying and truism in the ceremony. Most couples fall right in the middle. They get some help from their pastor and add sayings or poems that they feel fit their relationship and their personality.

So, if you're going to choose your own readings or wedding poems, what should you look for? A wedding poem should reflect your relationship. If the poem is about waiting your entire life for your true love, but neither of you felt you waited forever to find the one you love, don't choose that poem. Sit down with your partner and discuss what kinds of things you want to talk about. Is friendship at the top your list? Laughter? Support? Sharing your life with God? Once you've decided what you want the focus of the poem to be, start looking for poems.

The Internet is full of wedding poems. Some of them are cheesy and some are sweet. However, there are enough poems on the Internet that you should be able to find a poem that fits your criteria. You don't have to read the entire poem either. Just read the section that you feel best describes your relationship.
