wedding invitation wording

Your wedding invitation wording has to fit the type of wedding you wish to have. Long gone are the days of formal invites. What you have to decide is how you want your invite to be worded. Do you want your parents names placed with yours? Does you or your fiancée family name go first? If the brides parents are paying have her parents’ names precede hers followed by the groom’s name.

Now you don’t have to be formal with your wedding invitation wording. You can simple state both of your names and that you would like to enjoy each guest to welcome in your marriage. Any way for wording works just fine. Thought you could decide that you both want to have your parent’s names on the invitation.

With that in mind you can have the bride’s parents name come first, that they would like to announce the marriage of their daughter. Then place the brides name and who she is marrying after that you can have the groom’s parent’s names.

Though things will be different if you have stepparents the wording for your wedding invitation will have to be thought out. If you place one set of parents then you need to place the all the names on the invite. If only one parent is married, mention them first then the other parents name and finally yours. If both are married mention both of their names. This is a choice you both need to decide on; too many names might confuse people if they don’t know your family though at the same leaving a parent off the invite might hurt feelings.

Your wedding invitation wording will have balance your wishes and how you want your invite to look. Anything is acceptable right now and it boils down what you and your fiancée want to do.

free printable wedding invitations

One of the ultimate forms of cheap wedding invites is free printable wedding invitations. After all, the designs are free – costing you nada, nothing, not even a penny! Your only outlay would be the cards blanks to print on and the ink for your printer – and that is hardly going to break the bank.

These days, you can find many wedding stationery sites offering free printables and free wedding invitations, but most of the designs are a bit chintzy and sometimes even cheesy! They’re usually the designs that don’t really sell so well and quite frankly, most brides aren’t that interested in.

Wouldn’t it be nice if there were stylish designs that you could print out for free. Where there were beautiful illustrations that make your wedding invitations look really elegant. High quality designs that look chic and stylish. Perhaps it’s just a little too much to ask.

There are a range of different designs from colourful bold block prints to delicate floral illustrations. Each design comes with suggested papers to use and tips to get the right effect. In addition, each one has its own step-by-step instructions so making your own wedding invitations is really easy.

Many of the designs also come in different colour ways, so you can match the invite to your theme. Best of all they´re free. All you need to do is print them out on your home computer.

wedding invitation

One of the most difficult decisions for your wedding planning is probably your wedding invitation. It is not the most expensive item in your wedding when comparing with your wedding gown or photography. However, the invitation cards can just be as important as your gown. As a result, you will need to spend the time to create the invitations.

wedding invitation
It is very true that most couple would like to make the wedding invitation unique. Of course you will also want to do so. One of the ways to create a unique card is to hire a graphic designer and you will be working with the designer to create the design of the wedding card. However, it can still be quite difficult for a couple to start the design process since they have no idea on the design concept of the card.

As a matter of fact, you can find a lot of ideas and concepts on the web. You can of course do the research and get some design concepts from the internet. However, the ideas you can get from the internet may not really suit your own situation. This is especially true if you would like to create a personalized wedding invitation. You will try to add your personal story to the card in order to make it a unique and personalized one.

One of the ideas you may consider is to incorporate your love story in the wedding invitation. One thing you can certainly consider is the place you first met your spouse. This can help you to generate the basic concept for the design of your wedding card. For instance, if you met your spouse in Hawaii, you may consider creating a wedding invitation which makes your guests think of Hawaii.

A simple way to do the above is to incorporate a photo in the card. Taking the example of Hawaii again, you can put a photo of Hawaii in the card. Of course it can be even more meaningful if you are the one who take the photo!

Your occupation can also form the basic design concept of your wedding invitation. It is not difficult to come to the concept of an air ticket if both of you and your spouse are working for an airline. On the other hand, if both of you are teachers in high school, you may consider designing your wedding invitation in a way that it looks like a text book.

In fact, you can make your wedding invitation really interesting if you can use your occupation to generate the design concept of the card. However, sometimes it can be quite difficult for a couple to come with a design concept from the occupation since the occupations of the bride and the groom are not necessarily the same.

Your hobbies will also be used to generate the design concept. If both of you and your spouse like fishing, you can consider printing a fish on the card. If swimming is your hobby, you may even consider putting water in a bottle and sending it to your guests. Of course in this case you will still need to think about how you will deliver the information of your wedding!

wedding vows

The exchanging of wedding vows is a symbolic part of a wedding. The exchange of promises between the bride and groom can be both emotional and moving.

There are many different ideas when it comes to wedding vows, some people believe that you should stick with tradition some do not at the end of the day it is down to the individual.

Symbolizing your wedding vows can be one of the most significant parts of your wedding, using candles such as unity candles is just one way.

Unity candles are becoming a very popular way to symbolize your wedding vows, so much so it is now becoming part of the tradition.

No rules apply when lighting the candles as they hold no religious connotations, most people simply do it after the wedding vows have been exchanged.

You do not have to use the traditional written wedding vows you could write your own, or add a personal touch to original wording. By writing your own you will make your wedding more individual and will share your thoughts with your chosen one and guests.

If you do decide to write your own wedding vows try not to be too personal and intimate, save these words for a moment when it is just the two of you. Having said that, your guests will be more moved and interested if the words are heartfelt and loving.

Above all, enjoy it, remember how much you love the person standing in front of you, if you slip up or get chocked up take a breath, there is no need to rush its your day and everyone there will understand.

wedding invitations : Custom Wedding Invitations Involve How Many Choices?

Custom wedding invitations are an essential part of your wedding planning but are you prepared for all the choices you will need to make when creating yours? You will want to be as informed as possible in preparation for these decisions so designing your invitations will be easier.

Here are some things you will need to know:

Budget - Before you begin your wedding invitation shopping, you may want to give some consideration as to how much you want to spend on them. Knowing your budget and the quantity you will be ordering will also help you figure out how much you can spend per invitation as well as help narrow down your choices. Also remember that response cards, reception cards, colored inks, return address printing, envelope lining, etc., will be extra costs if you choose any of these options and are not included in the invitation prices. Those prices are listed separately.

Theme refers to the appearance of the invitation such as design, pictures, colors, embellishments, etc. Is there a specific theme to your wedding that could be reflected in your wedding invitations? Themes can be flowers, beach or tropical, season of the year, specific colors, etc.

Style relates more to the type of invitation. Will you have a simple wedding invitation card or a folded piece? Will it be made out of layers of paper attached together or will it include your photo? A seal and send style is an economical choice that has a response postcard attached and simply folds up into its own mailing piece. Pocket wedding invitations are also popular as a modern style. You will also find that some styles look more modern than traditional or more formal than casual so your choice will depend on the tone of your wedding.

Paper - This choice typically includes the size and color of your invitation paper. Contemporary wedding invitations can come in special sizes such as square and tea length. Keep in mind that larger sizes may require extra postage so you should check into that before making your final selection. Solid color papers have also become more popular. Another consideration is being eco-friendly with your wedding invites by having them printed on recycled paper.

Verse Wording - There are many, many sample verses for custom wedding invitations or you can creatively write your own verse. Your choice of verse will depend on who is hosting your wedding - you and your fiance or your parents. Another decision will be having your reception details printed directly on your invitation if there is room or on a separate reception card.

Lettering or Font Style - You will find there is an enormous selection of lettering styles from which to choose and the offerings will vary among printers. One suggestion is to use a style that will be easy to read for your guests. Simpler, less script fonts tend to be easier to read.

Imprint Ink Color - Usually you are provided with several ink choices based on the invitation you choose. Keep in mind colored papers will affect how certain ink colors appear. Black ink is typically included in the invitation price with colored ink choices costing extra. Be sure to take notice of what color was printed on the sample as you may like how that color looks.

There are actually more things to consider as part of your custom wedding invitations ensemble but the items listed above pertain to the actual invitation itself. Other related choices involve extra insert pieces such as response cards, map cards, etc., as well as envelope options.
